Remembrance: Chamber Music for the Soul
Music by NouLou Chamber Players & Louisville Youth Orchestra
Together NouLou Chamber Players and members of Louisville Youth Orchestra, under the musical direction of Douglas Elmore, are privileged to share the Ogle Center stage for a thoughtful memorial concert. It includes music that will touch your soul and honor the memory of those who have been lost in the Holocaust. The Remembrance program highlights include works by Ernest Bloch, Gideon Klein, Gustav Mahler, and the two ensembles will collaborate on a rendition of Samuel Barber’s emotionally powerful Adagio for Strings.
Through the Violins of Hope, NouLou Chamber Players and the LYO aim to transcend the darkness and despair of the Holocaust and bring new light to these magnificent instruments which have endured so much.
This event is free and open to the public but a ticket is required. Get your tickets here.
